Slower Living
Slower Living is moving through life at a pace that lets you enjoy whatever comes along, instead of chasing after what you don’t have and may never achieve.
Why ’slower’?
Because time and attention are essential to proper enjoyment and understanding. If you gobble down your food, you’ll hardly taste it — and you’ll probably suffer from indigestion as well. If you rush headlong through a beautiful garden, you’ll see nothing. If you run as fast as you can allong a path, you may well trip and fall.
What will I find here?
Ideas to help you get the best out of life, preserve your health and sanity, and make the best of whatever comes your way. We cover such topics as lifestyle (at work and at home), choices, relationships, hopes, aspirations, relaxation, and coping with stress.
Who are the writers?
Principally an English husband and wife team, now living in Tucson, Arizona. Both have worked in organizations on both sides of the Atlantic. The husband retired recently from a senior executive position, though he also worked as a consultant, an academic, and an economist at various times in his life.
They’ve walked the same path as you. Their purpose in writing is to help you avoid some of the the mis-steps and stumbles by sharing their thoughts and experiences.
They are helped from time to time by guest writers from amongst their friends and contacts.
